Loving my new lip colors!

20140706-121554-44154397.jpg
I feel as though I’ve grown up and join the world if adult women and that means adding adult makeup accents. I’ve really come to LOVE adding lip color to my makeup collection. I’m not afraid to admit that I am a little bit of a brand name girl and I really do like the quality lipsticks that MAC makeup makes. I have started with a small collection with some more dimmer colors because I find it works better with my skin tone and I’m going to work my way up to the brighter ones.

Two of the lipsticks I had known I wanted based off of friend recommendations and the other two I had an idea of the shade that I wanted and the employees were so helpful in finding me the right shade. (The lipstick tubes are in the same order in all three pictures so that the names line up with their respected color).

The first two lipsticks Fanfare and Capricious are more of my everyday lipsticks for work, lunches and brunches, and just going out during the day. They are a little more understated while still giving a little more color to my face.

The other two, Diva and Viva Glam I, are my dark statement lipsticks. They are very popular shades from MAC and I find are often sold out during the holidays. I think that Viva Glam I is the perfect statement red lipstick for those night out on the town where those red lips are all you need. And I love Diva for that darker tone when the red is just a bit too much.

I’m so excited to see my lipstick collection grow as I find more colors for my skin tone! Let us know what you think or which ones are your favorite!

Celebrity Inspired Make Up: Kim K!

Her face is iconic, and her skin is porcelain… Kim Kardashian’s make up is always on point! A friend (thanks Rachel!) sent in this pic of her, along with the fab idea of doing this make up look! Here it is, and product list below! Of everything listed, my favorites that I recommend are the 2 lip colors (1 lipstick and 1 gloss), the liquid foundation, and the dusting makeup brush!!!! (I got it on a QVC deal, but found a link where you can buy the brush alone.) Enjoy, and go have fun trying a new look!

Maxi-“mum” Joy!

Image

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this maxi I wore for my first baby shower! The navy blue is classic, and easy to style with a messy bun and statement earrings. So excited to be a “mum,” and super happy to celebrate in style! If you wear giant earrings like these, go sans necklace, so you don’t overdo it (wait, did I just say that accessories can be “overdone?!” Never thought I’d say that…but yes, it’s possible!) I feel so thankful to the women who surrounded me with so much LOVE, and threw me the most beautifully hosted/decorated/catered baby shower ever. It was GORGEOUS! So much fun spending time with people I love.

Dress: Modern Vintage Boutique (current); Earrings: Arden B. (old) – alternate options on Bauble Bar here. Wearing Ardell #120 demi lashes, and Bobbi Brown Illuminating Finish Powder Compact Foundation in Natural (4).

Flashback Friday!

20140523-194334.jpg
Flashback to my gorgeous sister/coblogger’s baby shower! I wore this simple blush pink spring dress that cinches in at the waist with a modest neckline and flowy skirt. If I were to turn around however you would see a cut out from the too down to the cinching waist line to add a little flare to the outfit. I mixed colors and paired this dress with a cobalt Kendra Scott statement necklace (which I love and am totally obsessed with!) and was so pleasantly surprised when I loved how the colors worked together! The colors were nice compliments because of the contrast between the soft pink and the bright blue. Fun tip to all if our readers to not be afraid to mix and match colors! Because I felt like I had a lot going on in the outfits I kept it simple in the feet and wore minimalist nude wedges by Steve Madden! Let us know what you think!

Currently Loving…

Hello Glamazons! It is SPRING, and there are SO MANY things I’m LOVING right now!!! Check these beauties out; you might find something you love too!

**FASHION!**

I am having a blast dressing this bump! Don’t get me wrong, I have to work at keeping myself healthy and fit, but that’s part of the joy too! Eating right, exercising the right amount, and enjoying every second of it! It’s an indescribable blessing to go through this experience. As far as the fashion goes: Sporty, casual, dressy glam…I love it ALL!!!

Draw inspiration from these pics for how to throw your own ensemble together! A fierce jacket with some Nike hi tops for a sporty chic day? I think YES! Leave your blouse open with a plain tank and and wear a cute hat + statement jewelry…unexpected and so fun!

All of these outfit details can be found on my daily Instagram! Go to @sara_hodge, and find out where you can get these threads! For example, my favorite black moto jacket and the blush pink blouse are both Forever 21! Can you believe it? So inexpensive, but they look high end! Jewelry, shoes, accessories, leggings and more!

**BEAUTY!**

Hello, Gorgeous! These are some fab finds right now, that you can ROCK ROCK ROCK! I’m loving staying on my nail game! It’s been my fun treat during pregnancy. Try a FIERCE white and gold combo this spring!!! I did a party nail + a chevron nail to dress this up…and I love how fun it is!

If you love that glammed up light pink nail polish, you can get it. It’s “Mod About You” by OPI!

ImageImage

LOVE LOVE LOVE this Sonia Kashuk Fan Brush (link here)!!! It’s the best $8.00 make up brush around, and a steal at that price! It’s fine fibered, and lightweight. Since it’s not thick and heavy, it distributes the perfectly faint amount of highlighter and shimmer to the highest part of my cheekbones. I LOVE IT!

Image

If you follow my daily Instagram, you’ve already seen this FABULOUS highlighting chunky brow pencil by Anastasia of Beverly Hills (link here). IT’S FANTASTIC!! The matte end PERFECTLY highlights my brow bone, and the shimmer side I actually use as a little accent on my inner lid and inner waterline.

Image

Diva Lipstick by Mac (link here)! Utilizing bright lipstick to channel my spring vibes isn’t the only reason for this amazing shade of rouge…it makes my teeth look whiter!!! Being pregnant is the best thing ever! BUT there are certain beauty products I can’t use during this time, for health purposes of course. I can’t whiten my teeth! I love having a bright smile, but right now, I can’t use the Crest White Strips that I love. Since wearing a bright lip makes your teeth look whiter, I’m taking advantage of it! This pic has NO EDITING ON MY TEETH! NO FILTER! This is truly how they look with this lipstick! If you go heavier handed with this lipstick, it can go do a really beautiful, deep oxblood color, but I like to wear it a little brighter. If you want another great RED by MAC, I love Russian Red (link here).

**ACCESSORIES!**

Ahhhhhh! That’s my excitement for these GORGEOUS, incredible purses! Ju-Ju-Be has been on the scene for a while, but this company just took their product from diaper bag functionality to glamorous FABULOSITY! Yes, you heard me right: diaper bags! Hey, I’m becoming a mom, I need solutions for all of the “fun” things I need to tote around. The Legacy Line has the most functional, loaded-with-pockets, machine washable, products…and the list of benefits and features goes on and on! I’m not exaggerating! Can we all just swoon over the fabulous gold hardware on the purses? I’m OBSESSED! My favorite print is the black and white stripe called “First Lady” (hello?! so chic!!!)… and I love the smaller bags to carry inside the bigger one. Shop the line HERE (link). Finally, a company that has married function with fashion..thank you Ju-Ju-Be! A great solution for moms like me! I love not having to sacrifice style for the daily routine. We need more like this in the future! Keep it up!

Yes, I love the bags so much that you get 2 pics! If you follow me on Instagram @sara_hodge, you might have seen my blazer post! I picked the HOT PINK one (link here)! Thanks for all your help Glamazons!

My thoughtful, and awesome-gift-giving in-laws got me these PERFECT Kendra Scott Skylar Earrings in neon pink (link here) for my bday! I’ve been waiting ’til now to post them, and I love them! They match with so many things in my closet, and they are too fun!

Also! If you’re a pen-to-paper kind of girl (like me), and you love keeping an organized schedule and life, this is FOR YOU! I can’t take credit for finding the Erin Condren Life Planner (link here) – one of my best gal pals, Rachel, introduced me to this super hero of all planners a couple years ago. I’m hooked! It’s worth EVERY PENNY! Tons of space, sections, and lots of fun features. Check them out online. They are coming back in stock next month; don’t miss out! I got mine this year in Tiffany Blue!

Image

The accessories I wore in my glam outfit above! The heels are Guess, and the jewelry, of course, is Kendra Scott! The gorgeous Ivy Bracelet in gold was also a birthday treat…beautiful! Bracelet link here, and earrings here.

Another double product picture for you, because this wrap bracelet is TOO AMAZING for anything less! This is my second custom wrap bracelet by Mrs. Hipp Designs. You can follow and order actually on her Facebook or Instagram. She makes extremely high quality wraps, and pictured here is NATURAL LEATHER! The bead work is gorgeous, and I can wear at different lengths. So many different colors and options; you’ve got to check it out. Believe it or not, even though this style bracelet can retail upwards of $240.00… This designer sells them for $40.00+. Talk about a great GIFT to give yourself or a friend! Support local businesses; I love this one!

I hope you all have an incredible weekend filled with love, laughter and family! Remember, you smile is always your best accessory!

Throwback Thursday!

20140515-182927.jpg
Throwing it back to an occasion that required style with a little bit of business. It was a professional event but still called for a casual outfit. To dress it down a little but I added the maroon skinny jeans instead of the more formal black and the normal jeans. It added a flare of my own style and kept it casual without making it too informal. To keep the professional feel alive I paired it with a flowy white top and a loose black blazer. Since my pants and blazer were such a dark color (which didn’t pair well with the spring time season), I brightened it up with some nude stilettos by Steve Madden and a white, flower detailed necklace from Forever 21. Loved this outfit because it was half professional and half my style and works with my college student budget.

Jeans from Cotton On. White shirt from Francesca’s. Black blazer from H&M.

My Must-Have Top 5 Drugstore Beauty Products

Image

Hello, Glamazons!!! I’m really excited to bring you this list of my Top 5 Must-Have Drugstore Beauty Products! I had tons, and tons to choose from out of my own personal collection, but I really thought about what I use the MOST often, and what is the most helpful to my overall routine. We’ve all been there: Wanting to save money on luxury items, so we go for the more generic brands, but waste even MORE money trying to figure out what works or not from the drugstore. So here it is!

Image

1. Clean & Clear Advantage: 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser: I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! I’m not ashamed to admit that for a year and a half I struggled with adult acne. This might not be your problem (yay for you!), but I have to really take AMAZING care of my skin. There were many factors that helped clear up my unsightly pimples (my cleaner diet, lots more water, the Clarisonic, less stress, etc.), but when I started using this face wash, THAT is when it all turned around! WARNING: This is probably too strong for a lot of skin types out there. I would not use this morning and night to start off. See how you like it. I am personally able to use it every time I was my face, as long as I do a great job with my follow-up moisturizer, but that’s a whole different post. I love it! Thanks Clean & Clear! I really do feel “under control.” 😉 ***BUYING TIP***: I’ve found the freshest supply to be stocked at Target. The shelves run out pretty often, so check back frequently to see if you can find it.

2. Biosilk Silk Therapy: OBSESSED!!!!! No matter how many luxury items I use before blow drying my hair, this will always be my #1 styling product! A little goes a LONG way. Don’t ever put it into your roots unless you want to take a day trip to GREASY CITY! I’ve had hair stylists tell me not to use this because they are pushing their own product line, or people say “It’s so old! My mom used to use that! There’s newer, better stuff out there.” (FYI: If your mom used it, she’s not old!) This classic product is amazing, and keeps my hair protected from the heat, truly SILKY, and soft. I love love love love it. I never blow dry my hair straight without it. BONUS: The beautiful Kyle Richards (RHOBH) uses this on her long, luscious tresses…if it’s great enough for her, it’s great enough for the rest of us! You cannot tempt me with the “latest and greatest” product…so far, nothing is as great as this! LONG-HAIRED GIRLS, REJOICE! This is for you! ***MONEY-SAVING TIP***: They sell this product in a jumbo size at Costco. Worth it.***

3. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes: I wipe off my make up with one of these every night before washing my face. It’s great for taking the “layer” off, so you can really get into those pores. Sleeping with make up on = fast-track to aging. Aging is a beautiful, necessary part of life, and I want to fully embrace it as it comes…but um, let’s all agree: We can do our best to slow it down! Kim Kardashian once said (not an exact quote) that these wipes were a life-saver for her on nights when she’s too tired to wash her face, and just wants to go to bed! ***BUYING/MONEY-SAVING TIP***: These are sold in bulk at Costco, and once in a while if you’re lucky, they will also sell the hard box container with it to keep it fresh. You can find them in drug stores, but it’s more expensive per unit.

4. L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm: THIS IS THE BEST $5-$8 YOU’LL EVER SPEND ON A HAIR PRODUCT. I’ve said that to countless people. I mean it. So many of my girlfriends have appreciated this recommendation. It’s the best hair mask ever, and can actually be used as a replacement to your conditioner. I use this about 2-3 times per week. Long-haired ladies, keep those ends FRESH AND SOFT with this amazing recovery mask. Use it in the shower, just follow the directions on the tub. Love, love, love! Enough said!

5. L’Oreal Youth Code Dark Spot Serum Corrector: After my bout with acne, my olive skin had lots of pigmented little spots that I wanted to clear up…this little $20-something bottle did the trick. No fancy premium creams, no lasers, just this. AMAZING! I use it every day and night before applying my moisturizer. You won’t look like you had a facelift or anything, but it certainly makes the skin tone even, and brighter. I’ve noticed that over a long period of time, this has been the most effective for getting my spots under control. Thank you L’Oreal! This one is a WINNER!!!! Again, this might not be for everyone, but it works amazingly for me.

Target and CVS are GREAT about returning opened beauty products, as long as they aren’t all used up. So if any of these don’t work for you, get your money back! I personally love all 5 of them! Hope you en

Flashback Friday!

20140418-184847.jpg
For a while I have been on the search for a new foundation to help out my skin because the ones I have been using have been very heavy. So a few weeks ago I went to Ulta to see what they had and ask for recommendations. The employees were so nice to me and gave a mini facial to help cleanse my skin. They tried multiple foundations on my skin and cleansed it between each one. When I was stuck between two of them they put one on either side of my face so I could compare. After I chose one they evened out my skin with the foundation I chose and finished it with some powder. My skin felt so nice afterwards and I was so excited because I love my new foundation! If you’re on a hunt I recommend stopping by Ulta because I loved the customer service and I am so happy with my find!

My new foundation is Benefit’s hello flawless foundation. It is so nice and airy on my skin and I only need to use a very small amount to completely cover my skin. I highly recommend this foundation!

Favorite Look this Week + 3 More Shoe Options!

This is my favorite look this week! It’s not hyper glam (my usual fave), but it’s casual-chic, comfortable and super easy to put together! Even if you don’t have these exact items and brands in your closet, you can get this look too… long-sleeved shirt + vest + skinny jeans + boots + statement earring = BOOM! You’re rockin’!

DETAILS: White shirt is Mossimo from Target // Vest is OLD NAVY (current, click link) // Jeans are (maternity jeans, but they sell the exact same style in non-maternity wear) // Boots are FRYE (current, click link) ***commentary below***// Earrings are KENDRA SCOTT (current, click link) // Leather Wrap Bracelet is MRS. HIPP DESIGNS (current, click link). 20140416-104048.jpg

The boots, Melissa Boot by Frye, are in the cognac color, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this riding boot. Incredible! First time I saw them were on Jennifer Aniston! I thought “OMG THOSE BOOTS!!!! MUST HAVE!” For the longest time I couldn’t justify the price…I waited and waited for a flash sale, and when the time came I pounced on them! (Trust me, they were still expensive.) However, in having 1 PERFECT pair of riding boots in a classic color, I’ve avoided the pitfalls of buying tons of wannabe boots that don’t last as long, and aren’t as high of quality. These have lasted me for years, and I can probably get over a decade’s use out of them. Doesn’t seem too expensive when you look at it that way, right?! Believe it or not, this is part of being a BUDGETISTA!!! (That’s one of the things I call myself…a fashionista on a budget.) I mix a lot of my outfits with hi-end, low-end, like this one. An $8.00 shirt from Target, plus high end boots.

MY BIGGEST TIP FOR BIG-BUDGET ITEMS: SPEND ON THE LONG-TERM CLASSICS, NOT ON THE TRENDS!!!!!!!!! If there’s something trendy (even if it’s a 5-year trend, to me that’s NOT LONG-TERM!!!) don’t spend the crazy $$ on it! You’ll regret it later on when you realize people stopped wearing palazzo pants, and you’re stuck with your overpriced leg parachutes. That’s why I got these boots – riding boots are timeless…from the 1800’s til now, and in the future, they will always be around! Trends: go lower end. You’ll feel proud of yourself for having self-control in the spending department too!

Alternate Shoe Ideas

1. Motorcycle Brewzzer Boot by STEVE MADDEN (these are going fast, on clearance everywhere…I love mine)

2. (MY PERSONAL FAVORITE ALTERNATE OPTION) Cognac Angellica Lace Up Booties by NINE WEST

3. Chestnut Suede Desert Wedge Booties by TOMS

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it for you! Would love to see the ideas you come up with out of your own closet, as inspired by this look! Tag me on Instagram! Have an incredible week, and remember that your SMILE is always your best accessory!

Throwback Thursday!

20140403-193453.jpg
Throwing it back to my mini shopping spree at Forever 21 when they were having a flash sale. I got all of these three necklaces 30% off so all three cost me a grand total of $16.00! Now I think that’s such a steal! I took advantage of this sale and got some smaller, a little more simple necklaces than the statement ones that I have been collecting. Remember to keep a variety in your collection of accessories so you don’t find yourself with a bunch of the same style when wanting to change it up. Keep a look out for flash sales like this one on websites or sign up for emails from your favorite stores so that you don’t miss out!

Pics of the Week!

Hello my fabuLASH Glamazons! If you don’t follow us on Instagram (which you should!), here are some of my favorite pics and posts you missed this week.

20140402-073236.jpg
LASHES! I started off with this selfie, showing the Ardell 109 lashes. I love these! They are the exact length of my own natural lashes, so they add the perfect fullness I need when I know I will be taking a lot of photos. Make sure to try the awesome lash applying tip I shared in this post! Crystal hoop earrings are by Tasha.

20140402-073624.jpg

20140402-073635.jpg
MEETING THE ONE AND ONLY COACH GLITTER!!! I got to meet Tiffany Lee Bymaster this week, and she is LITERALLY as amazing as you would think she is from all her social media sites and blogging. She made my whole week! We met up at my fave nail spot, Zen Nails in OC, and talked about everything under the sun for a couple hours. Felt like I’ve known her forever. She taught me a lot about social media, blogging and branding. She’s INCREDIBLE! Like her FB page at Coach Glitter, and follow her on Instagram @coachglitter. You’ll be amazed by her great make up, workout and fashion tips! (The collage pic above is from her personal Instagram, the nail design is hers…looks awesome!)

20140402-074846.jpg
I loved this chic pregnant outfit I saw on Pinterest. Something about the leather, the hat and the scarf got me. It inspired this look! I don’t go for an exact match when I’m looking at photos for inspiration- I pick the textures and pieces that I love, and go from there. Hat is from Shop Primadonna (THEY HAVE THE BEST ACCESSORIES FOR SO INEXPENSIVE). I get asked about this jacket all the time…People are shocked when I tell them it’s Forever 21! The quilted leather shoulder accents and zipper details make this jacket look really expensive. Jeans are AG, and shoes of course are Aldo.

20140402-075429.jpg

20140402-075445.jpg

20140402-075509.jpg
This spring blazer + wedges look was 100% inspired by this Kristin Cavallari pic! She’s sporting her bump, a colorful blazer, jeans and wedges…I don’t look cute in mustard, so I went with a blush pink blazer that I already had in my closet. It’s also from Forever 21, and shoes are Steve Madden. Skylar earrings in slate from Kendra Scott. I LOVED this look. Felt feminine, pretty and bumpalicious!

20140402-075937.jpg
MY NEW, FAVORITE EVERRRRRR FOUNDATION!!!!!!! This Bobbi Brown long wear even finish foundation is so amaze that I actually took a pic with NO other make up on just to show you the texture and how naturally it goes on. No filter and no edit on this pic. I have no mascara, no concealer, NOTHING besides moisturizer and foundation. Love love love.

20140402-080156.jpg
This was my outfit on Saturday for a friend’s baby shower! Entire ensemble is Forever 21, and jewelry is Kendra Scott (of course!). The hairstyle was inspired by a recent Maria Menounos look she sported on TV. I had a BLAST that day, and felt perfectly spring-like in this dress. I tied the vest up to accentuate my growing bump, which is my favorite accessory, and fills my heart with love and joy!

Hope you enjoyed my fave pics from this week! It was a fun one!

20140402-080605.jpg

Throwback Thursday!

20140327-105345.jpg
Throwing it back to when my lovely sister and co-blogger got married and I had the honor of being a bridesmaid. She changed up the tradition and let us all choose our own gowns in blush pink, a perfect color for the upcoming spring season, and our own hair styles. I chose two different ways to do of my hair. The classic curled with half up half down for the wedding, and a more simple straight hair look with a twist for the photos. The twist is such an easy look to accomplish with very little effort and can still provide an elegant look! Just take a small chunk of hair from the front and begin twisting it away from your face. Make sure though that your holding your hair toward the direction you’re going to pin it otherwise when you do set it in place you will get this strange out of place bump. Just continue twisting and adding on hair until you come to about your ear and then twist what ever hair you already have in the twist to where you want to pin it down. It gets your hair out of the way to show your gorgeous face and adds a little something extra to your ensemble. You can chose to do it on both side like me to still get a half up half down or just one side to add a little something extra to your style.

Hotel Room Essentials!

These are my essentials for traveling; my must-have skin care buddies to keep me fresh and aglow!

20140323-090904.jpg

The Claironic MIA 2, which comes with an awesome travel case, is my weapon of all weapons. It has a handy timer on it, but I usually go longer than the timer when I need a slower, deeper clean… Especially on these long dance days! I love it!!!! Use it in circular motions, even though it already rotates circularly.

The Murad Anti-aging Moisturizer with Broad Spectrum SPF (the blue label) I wear during the day, and the Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance at night….IT’S SERIOUSLY LIKE A TRIP TO A SWISS SPA FOR MY SKIN!!!!! Obsessed!

Murad Hydrodynamic Eye Cream…what can I say? I’ve tried them ALL and this one works best for me. Can we say “Fresh drink of water for my eyes?”

L’Oreal Youth Code Serum Corrector helps me keep my tone even, spots light and everything under control. It’s especially important since I’m pregnant right now, and can’t use retinol to keep any light spotting away. It’s from Target, and such a steal! Great product.

It’s important to drink tons of H2O while traveling to stay hydrated!!! Those hotel rooms will suck the moisture right out of you! I even bring some of this to spritz on for extra help:

20140323-092728.jpg

What do you always make sure to bring in your suitcase? Happy travels!

20140323-092833.jpg

Make Sure Your Nails Are 3-Free!

Inspired by my pregnancy, I went with the baby-boy vibes plus a double-party-nail on each hand! Loving it!

20140307-171553.jpg
Of course I used one of my fave nail lacquer brands: essie! I love the quality, and best of all- ALL ESSIE POLISH IS MADE 3-FREE!!! Is your nail polish free of the 3 major common chemicals in polish? It’s so important! Believe it or not, the chemicals from your nail color go into the skin through the nail beds. Many brand name cosmetic companies use Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, and Formaldehyde (Remember formaldehyde??? That disgusting chemical in 7th grade science class used to preserve dead organs and specimens in big, creepy jars?!) There are premier brands that make 5-Free polish, but are generally much more expensive. To take good health measures and still have glam hands, I use a minimum 3-Free polish.

Want a list of safe nail lacquer brands? I love this blog post about it, check it out!

20140307-172533.jpg
Try a fun party nail, or cute nail art! Every time I look at my mani/pedi I smile and think about how excited I am to become a mom! Such a joy…and it’s fun to incorporate it into everyday fashion too!

20140307-212629.jpg

Flashback Friday: 2 Weeks Ago!

FBF to 2 weeks ago: Maternity Style! {My bump has grown since this pic, which you’ll see a little more in upcoming posts.} I LOVE BEING PREGO!!!!! Everyday fashion is so amazing these days, that I will try my best not to fall into the “maternity wardrobe” trap of yesteryear – no need for the daily frump. Pregnancy is so beautiful. If that is you out there: embrace the bump and enjoy the changes!

20140228-071943.jpg
Long tank dress is Tildon from Nordstrom (I treated myself to this amazing staple for my pregnancy), and top from Wet Seal.

Pregnant or not, this is a great basics idea: Form-fitted tank dress (you can get them cheap at most any store like Forever 21, H&M etc), and a loose, forgiving kimono wrap or shrug to hide anything that’s not looking exactly how you want it to (not that you have that problem!).

20140228-072838.jpg

Throwback Thursday!

Throwing it back to last weekend when I went to Disneyland’s Dapper Days! I love Dapper Days because it is a really exciting time when all of the guests come to the park dressed all “dapper”. This was my outfit for the day and I had such a great time. Keep a look out for next year to see when it is!

20140227-172746.jpg

Throwback Thursday!

Throwing it back to when I decided to splurge and treat myself to the Naked Urban Decay 2 makeup palette. Out of the three this one is my favorite because I love the gold and bronze tones that it provides. The palettes are so great because you can use them for that dramatic, going out makeup and even for everyday. It has definitely become a staple in my makeup collection! Which one is your favorite?

20140220-122534.jpg

Remington Curling Wand!

I really wanted a non-tapered curling wand with a wider barrel for a more relaxed wave look. This 1.5″ Remington wand from Target is AWESOME! Here’s the look:

**FYI: I curled the hair from my natural, curly style to keep the volume! If you want a sleeker, flatter look, curl it from straight hair.

20140218-100212.jpg
Scarf from Zara, Jacket is A&F, Grey Shirt is Isabella Oliver (fave of pregnant celebs), and of course the Frye boots! Jewelry by Kendra Scott.

20140218-100327.jpg
What’s your favorite hair styling tool? I would love to know!

20140218-100512.jpg
