“Dress in layers because the weather can change at any moment!” That’s what everyone told me before my trip to Alaska. Prep for rain, snow, cold, hot; you get the idea. These are the layers I wore in Icy Strait Point, Alaska. Even though there was super light rain, I wasn’t cold at all. This outfit was perfectly functional! My boots were just right for all the terrain we covered too! It was a really fun day!!
YELLOW THERMAL: Target // JEANS: Abercrombie & Fitch // BOOTS: Sorel, Caribou // BELT: American Eagle Outfitters // PINK JACKET: Forever 21 // VEST: Columbia // INFINITY SCARF: Lulu Lemon.
We had an amazing 5 mile hike in Icy Strait Point. My husband took this photo of me among the trees.
Anchorage had far less rain and mud, plus it was a little warmer! So I changed up the outfit with different pants, hiking shoes and dropped the scarf. It was great for another 5 mile hike! BELOW: JEANS Abercrombie & Fitch, boot cut vintage wash // HIKING SHOES: The North Face.
I’ll post more outfits from my trip, and if you ever go to Alaska, it’s TRUE: Dress in layers!
